Architecture of Hotel del Rijo
The Hotel Rijo is a two storey colonial building. There is a central small patio framed by two half point arches and a trefoil. The majestic facade highlights a succession of five big arches, several iron bars, and a beautiful nailed wooden great hall door, all protected by an outer overhang.

The place where the hotel is situated is a 19th century house. The original designer and masons have not been able to determine yet. In the year 2000, a precise reconstruction project began rescuing the building from the ruins returning the structure to its old splendour, reopening its doors on November 18, 2001.
